WC Arts Academy

The WCKids Arts Academy gives children the opportunity to express their creativity through a variety of engaging art forms. Each class focuses on the gifts that God gives each of us and celebrates the differences. We hope you will join us as we explore the world of art!

ARTS ACADEMY THEATER
Theater 1
Fourth through sixth grade - $75
Mondays 430-630
This class gives our younger actors an opportunity to learn singing, acting and dancing skills in a fun and safe environment. This semester our Theater 1 students will be performing in the same show as our Theater 2 students!

Theater 1 rehearsals will be in person this semester. We will be recording our musical numbers prior to the live shows, however, the rest of the production will be performed live. All required safety protocols will be followed. The dates for the show will be Wednesday, April 28, Thursday, April 29, and Friday, April 30.

Auditions: For auditions, record yourself singing up to one minute of a song of your choice, and a reading from your favorite book, show or song lyrics. Be sure to tell us your name and grade! These do not have to be professional-grade recordings - using your phone or iPad is totally fine! Please upload your video NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 25 using the links provided in the registration confirmation email. Alternatively, you can drop a thumb drive off at the administrative reception desk. *Due to the magnitude of this show, attendance is important, and it is crucial for students to make the staff aware of any schedule conflicts, (i.e. missing one day per week, etc.) when they submit their audition video.*

“Disney’s The Lion King JR.”
Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world and now, for the first time ever, you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your school. The African savannah comes to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
