Men of Prayer
Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
The White's Chapel Men of Prayer (WCMOP) is a group of men that meets regularly to pray for the church and individuals within the church. They engage in intercessory prayer to minister to the church and its members. The group feels that God has invited them to participate in this activity and all have committed to pray daily for the list of needs. WCMOP also feels that intercessory prayer can be more effective than trying to pray for themselves.
The group meets twice per month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in room 3201 of the Adult Education building. There is no age limit; all men are welcome. During these meetings, the men encourage one another and update the list over which they pray. The group attendance ranges from a handful to a dozen or more. WCMOP also gathers on fifth Tuesdays at various venues for fellowship. Please contact Warren Witt at 817-901-3500 for more information.
Wednesday Night 7 p.m. Men's Bible Study "Ultimate Conversation"
Beginning January 15 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Room 3102
In "Prayer, The Ultimate Conversation," which is based on a lifetime of walking with God and 55 years of ministry founded on prayer, Dr. Charles Stanley not only teaches the disciplines of intercession but also explains how to fight life’s battles through intimate communion with the God. Purchase your book at the Circuit Writers Bookstore and join facilitator Bret Zimmerman for lively discussion and fellowship.
Wednesday Night 8 p.m. Men's Bible Study
Beginning January 15 from 8 to 9 p.m. in Room 3202
Join a diverse group of men on Wednesday nights as we explore various studies produced by well-known authors and men of God. New topics are started every four to six weeks. No knowledge or experience required, just come as you are! There is no need to wait until a new session starts, as new participants are welcome at any time. Typical study format involves watching a message from Andy Stanley, John Ortberg, or other well-known pastors, and then engaging discussion.
Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Study
Saturdays from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in Room 3203
"Real Metanoia” is a men's bible study that endeavors to place and keep the focus on Christ's finished work at the cross. Rather than focusing on what we need to do to be pleasing to Him, this study focuses on what He has accomplished for us through His perfect, complete and eternal sacrifice. As a result, when we believe right we'll end up living right. In other words, a lifestyle of obedience and one that glorifies the Lord becomes the fruit of already having been blessed rather than attempting to earn God's favor and blessing through an exhausting life of legalism and self-effort. The word gospel, after all, means "good news" for a reason. Come find out why! Led by Greg Christian Facilitator - Tom Kinser - 817-269-5290
Thursday Morning Men’s Bible Study with Dr. Todd Renner
Thursdays at 7 a.m. in Room 3204
As men, we wear many different hats: as husbands, fathers, grandfathers, bosses, employees, retirees, friends, mentors…and under all of these: sons of the Almighty. It’s not a journey that we’re meant to take alone, though. All men are welcome to join facilitator, Dr. Todd Renner, and other men who face the daily struggles to live and grow in their relationships with God and with others. Beginning this Spring, the group will dive into a fascinating study of the Book of Nehemiah. Join us for a time of deep Bible study, application, and prayer.
Thursday Night Men’s Bible Study
Begins Jan. 23 | 7 p.m. | Room 3202
Join this men’s Bible study as they meet from September through May on second & fourth Thursdays. This group has met for many years and are open to new members joining. We are currently studying Peter, the disciple. Contact Karl Neuding for more information.
