WC Theater

WC Theatre brings play, humor, and laughter to learning which improves motivation and reduces stress. It helps children adjust to not seeing a new image every 3-4 seconds, and to realize that something can be entertaining and engaging without a constant change of scenery. They learn how to sit quietly, respect others, and pay attention. MORALS. Plays and musicals illustrate many different lessons.

ARTS ACADEMY THEATER
Theater 1
Fourth through seventh grade - $150
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
This class gives our younger actors an opportunity to learn singing, acting and dancing skills in a fun and safe environment. This semester our Theater 1 students will be performing Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids. Theater 1 rehearsals will be in person this semester. All required safety protocols will be followed. The dates for the show will be Thursday, November 11, and Friday, November 12.

Auditions: Auditions for the show this fall will be held on Saturday, August 21. Once a student has registered, an email will be sent to them with a link to sign up for an audition time. During auditions, students will be asked to sing a song or a portion of a song that is approximately one minute long. 

"Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids"
Based on the classic animated film, Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney's most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. With a high-spirited score and lovable characters, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences.

Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita's former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

Theater 2
Seventh through tenth grade - $150
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Students focus on improving their acting, blocking and choreography while creating a dynamic stage production. 
All rehearsals for Theater 2 will be held in person. All required safety protocols will be followed. This semester, Theater 2 students will be performing "Alice in Wonderland: Down the Rabbit Hole." The dates for the show will be Thursday, November 18, and Friday, November 19.

"Alice in Wonderland: Down the Rabbit Hole"
Audiences will delight at this modern-day adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s trip to Wonderland, in which the restless birthday girl chases after a very busy bunny and ends up in a bizarre world. Mark Landon Smith’s witty new adaptation brings Alice into the 21st century with sharp-edged humor as she traverses the land of the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the blustery Queen of Hearts.
