Recreation Ministry

Getting out and enjoying a game of softball, golf and more is just one way we like to have fun! Find out more opportunities here to get out with your church family.

DFW Golf Tour
Travel with a group of friends to play different golf courses around the metroplex. About once a month we have a friendly competition at a different course each time. We scramble, we shamble, we stable ford. Courses will be decided throughout the fall, as well as some fun new formats. Most events take place on Fridays.

Men and women are invited to join us as we play different formats at courses around DFW. Whether you’re a single or have a group, you’re invited to some friendly competition.

We also fish, take trips, play soccer, walk, hike, go to the lake, retreat together, and if there is something you’d like to know more about that isn’t on here it’s probably because we don’t have it yet!

We can change that!

Sewing With a Mission
Wednesdays | 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Room 3204

Sewing for Missions is an outgrowth of Wonderful Wednesdays with Women. We meet at 11:30, after WWwW, during the school year. During the summer, we meet from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Adult Ed. Bldg., room 3204. Our main focus has been sewing dresses and shorts for international missions. In addition, our dresses, shorts, and pillowcases have gone to local missions and our soldier ministry. We can use the help of sewers, cutters, and ironers with our mission.

Also known as Texas Forty-Two, Four-Hand Texas, and Domino Rounce, Forty-Two is an adaptation of Auction Pitch. It was invented by W. A. Thomas during his boyhood in Garner, Parker County, Texas, about 1885; then it spread throughout the southwestern United States.

Pottery
If you are called to discover, explore and practice creating with clay, please join us for pottery classes! Since working with clay is a journey, it is considered to be a practice that has no final destination, it is a growth process that can be messy and beautiful at the same time.  If Making something special out of mud is a journey that you are interested in.
