Finding a community to support you is something that can help take your faith to another level!
Oklahoma Church Build
Did you know that more than 20,000 Native American people are part of The United Methodist Church? Of the almost 32,000 United Methodist congregations in the United States, 157 of them are Native American churches, with 86 of those being a part of the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference. One of these congregations, the Chihowa Oklahoma UMC, will be the recipient for the communion offering in April. The hope is to continue the construction of a church building with funds and volunteer help. Volunteers from White’s Chapel are planning to help with that process the second week of April. The communion offering will be used to purchase building materials and supplies for that project.
Men and women are invited to join us as we play different formats at courses around DFW. Whether you’re a single or have a group, you’re invited to some friendly competition.
TCU Wesley House
Come help us restore the Wesley House on the TCU campus. Workdays are ongoing as we help improve their worship and gathering spaces. We have a long list of improvements that we plan to work on throughout the year. No need for serious remodeling skills, we can use you!
Palm Sunday | Maundy Thursday
Volunteers needed for both services. From hand washers to disciples, we would love for you to participate in some way.
After church on 4/14 (Palm Sunday), we need some volunteers to help move things around for our Holy Week activities.
If you’re good at working with your hands, we’d love for you to help.

Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
The White’s Chapel Men of Prayer (WCMOP) is a group of men that meets regularly to pray for the church and individuals within the church. They engage in intercessory prayer to minister to the church and its members. The group feels that God has invited them to participate in this activity and all have committed to pray daily for the list of needs. WCMOP also feels that intercessory prayer can be more effective than trying to pray for themselves.
The group meets twice per month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in room 3201 of the Adult Education building. There is no age limit; all men are welcome. During these meetings, the men encourage one another and update the list over which they pray. The group attendance ranges from a handful to a dozen or more. WCMOP also gathers on fifth Tuesdays at various venues for fellowship. For more information, contact Roy Abshier.
Wednesday Nights from 8 to 9 p.m. in Room 3202
Join a diverse group of men on Wednesday night as we explore various studies produced by well-known authors and men of God. New topics are started every four to six weeks. No knowledge or experience required, just come as you are! There is no need to wait until a new session starts, as new participants are welcome at any time. Typical study format involves watching a message from the likes of Andy Stanley, John Ortberg, or other well-known pastors, and then engaging in a discussion led by a facilitator.

“Real Metanoia” is a men’s bible study that endeavors to place and keep the focus on Christ’s finished work at the cross. Rather than focusing on what we need to do to be pleasing to Him, this study focuses on what He has accomplished for us through His perfect, complete and eternal sacrifice. As a result, when we believe right we’ll end up living right. In other words, a lifestyle of obedience and one that glorifies the Lord becomes the fruit of already having been blessed rather than attempting to earn God’s favor and blessing through an exhausting life of legalism and self-effort. The word gospel, after all, means “good news” for a reason. Come find out why!”

Thursday’s at 7 a.m. in Room 3204
One of the least known but most artful books of the Bible, the Book of Judges provides thoroughly relevant truths for the living of faith in a world just like ours: where many “do what’s right in their own eyes.” Addressing issues like courage, obedience, intimacy, morality, and leadership (just to name a few), the powerful lessons we can learn from this ongoing, verse-by-verse study are limitless…and eye-opening. All men are welcome to join facilitator Dr. Todd Renner and other guys who face the daily struggles to live and grow in their relationships with God and others.
Wednesday, October 16 at 8 a.m. through Sunday, October 20, 2019
Join the men of White’s Chapel as we share the love of Jesus Christ with the people of San Antonio. San Antonio has the largest percentage of substandard housing for any major city in the U.S. All men 18 and above are welcome on this trip. No experience is necessary, just a willing heart! This is a terrific opportunity to serve Christ and meet other men from WC.
This year, there are two trip choices. There will be a two or three-day option. The standard two workday option cost has been lowered to $200 per person. If you choose this option, you will leave Thursday, October 17 and return on Sunday, October 20. The extended three workday option will cost $240 per person. This option leaves on Wednesday, October 16 and returns on Sunday, October 20.
