Connecting

God created us to be in community. We begin to understand that sense of community when we realize all things are interwoven with one another. John Wesley defined interwovenness as love, the virtue of virtues. He envisioned a world connected through the reality of God, which begins and ends with the outpouring of God’s love for us through the grace of Jesus Christ. In turn, we are called to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength… and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Love is the common currency of God! We arrived in God’s love and we will leave in God’s love. In the space between, we are to share God’s love with others. Loving God and loving others… this is community; this is our divine purpose - God’s plan for creating us.
"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.”

- Helen Keller

Thank God for our church community. White's Chapel seeks to serve our church community by providing opportunities for people to connect, to be interwoven into the fabric of faith and fellowship. There are so many ways to get “plugged in," such as our monthly orientation, campus walking tours, Coffee and Conversation with a pastor, and our Wednesday Night Dinners. In addition, we offer Circuit Writers Books and Such and Wesley Café where people can gather and meet. And finally, the WC Home Team can assist you with membership if you feel called to join our church. We love being in community with YOU, and we are here to serve you in any way we can. Questions? Please contact Rev. Sterling Smith.

Coffee and Conversation with Rev. Sterling Smith
Join Rev. Sterling Smith on the second and fourth Tuesdays (Jan.-May), from 8 to 9 a.m., at the Starbucks in Southlake Town Square. He will host a casual conversation concerning our faith, our church, and our God. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends while discussing "matters of the heart." No reservations necessary; simply show up and enjoy the fellowship.
