AGAPE MEAL
A dinner for the homeless held every Thursday evening at Broadway Baptist in Ft. Worth. We help serve and host dinner the last Thursday of every month from 4:30 PM to approx. 7:30 PM. For more information, contact Jane Grazer at 817-726-6379 or janegrazer@hotmail.com.
AIDS OUTREACH
An organization dedicated to helping persons with HIV/AIDS in Tarrant County. The agency helps with food, medicines, clothing & summer camp for children. ALDERSGATE
A home for special needs young adults for which annually a communion offering is taken. For more information, contact Marilyn Zemba at 817-481-4147.
ANGELS ATTIC
A resale store sponsored by White’s Chapel UMC that sells donated clothing and housewares to needy clients at substantially reduced costs. BEGGIN’ FOR BEARS
Stuffed bears are collected once a year at church and given to children experiencing a crisis situation throughout the year. The bears are tagged with a name and a message of hope. For more information or to get involved, contact Sheri Williams 817-421-6170.
CHRIST’S HAVEN
For over 50 years, Christ's Haven for Children in Keller, Tx. has been meeting the needs of abused, neglected, abandoned, or orphaned children; providing a warm, loving, Christian environment where children are able to grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are in need of a leader liaison at WC to coordinate volunteers for the Christ Haven program. EYEGLASSES RECYCLING
We collect discarded eyeglasses which will be cleaned, recut and distributed to third world countries as well as local indigents. GOING GREEN
A conservation program here at White’s Chapel dedicated to preserving and being more responsible for the natural environment and God has blessed us with. We’ve started with paper collection and recycling. If you have any ideas and want to get involved, please contact Kimberly Orosco at kimberlyorosco@verizon.net.
GRACE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING
A program in which White’s Chapel volunteers act as “client aid team members” working with families throughout their stay in transitional housing. To get involved, contact Jeff Miller at 817-481-4147 or jmiller@whiteschapelumc.com or David Kinnamore at judykinnamore@msn.com .
GRACE FOOD PANTRY
A program of Grace GRACE (Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange) supported by White’s Chapel supports which includes food donations, cleaning, sorting and delivery as well as an annual communion offering. We are in need of a leader liaison at WC to assist in getting volunteers for this GRACE program. GRACE FEED OUR KIDS

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Once or twice annually we sponsor in whole or part the funding and construction of a home. Construction is on weekends over a 6 to 8 week period. For more information, contact Jim Johnson 817-424-2770 or JimBJohnson@aol.com.
HUD ANGEL TREE
A Christmas favorite providing much needed items, clothing, special needs gifts, wished-for toys, etc. for needy children. For more information, contact Brenda Mueller at 817-434-2245.
HUD HELPING HANDS
A way to help the elderly residents of Grapevine HUD housing with chores around the house and seasonal planting of flowers in their front courtyards. The next planting and picnic day is April the 12, 2008. For more information or to get involved, contact Brenda Mueller at 817-434-2245.
SACK LUNCH MINISTRY
Several Sunday school classes prepare and drop off sack lunches for children which are then picked up and distributed by the Salvation Army. For more information, contact Trevor Gallagher at 817-481-4147 or tgallagher@whiteschapelumc.com.
SHOE BOX MINISTRY
At Christmas time, shoe boxes are filled with items for children and then collected and distributed by Samaritans Purse. We need project liaison at White’s Chapel for this mission project. SLAB
The SLAB is an outdoor ministry that embraces the poor, homeless and hungry (located Rosedale Avenue) in Fort Worth and has become a beacon of hope for the marginalized. They meet on a large tent-covered slab, offer a lively worship service on Sundays & provide a hot meoffal and clothes to anyone who stops by. SOLDIER CARE
This mission project collects, packs and mails items of support to our soldiers overseas. This mission was started with the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. To get involved, contact Susan Tanner at 817-442-0884 or setntx@verizon.net.
SUSAN G. KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE
Every year there is a Tarrant County annual walk and race fund drive for breast cancer medical research. White’s Chapel members Don and Martha Reukema are the 2008 Co-Chairs for the Race Cure in Tarrant County. The race will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 in downtown Ft. Worth. We are looking for individuals from White’s Chapel who want to become involved in this important area of ministry. Ways to get involved include:
* Organize White’s Chapel teams for the race
* Participate in the races on White’s Chapel teams(1 Mile Fun Walk/Run, 5K non-competitive run and 5K competitive run)
* Participate in kids for the cure
* Donate to the cause or a team
