AFRICA MISSION TRIP

This trip to Kenya is currently scheduled for summer 2009 and will be headed up by our senior pastor Dr. John McKellar to work in a small village on a community project.  For more information, contact Marilyn Zemba or Keri Renner at 817-481-4147.

     

COSTA RICA MISSION TRIP

A women’s week long trip in February to work in an orphanage.  In addition, children’s clothing is collected here and then transported to the orphanage in this mission of love and clothing.  For more information contact Rev. DALIT FREEDOM NETWORK

The Dalits, who number 250 million, are the “untouchables” of <place w:st="on"><country-region w:st="on">India</country-region></place>’s society.  This organization works for religious freedom, social injustice, and human rights for the Dalits by mobilizing people, information, and financial resources.  For more information, contact Doug Shippee at doug@trugent.com.  You can also connect to www.dalitnetwork.org.

 

KENYA-HELP.ORG

An initiative supporting student scholarships, girl’s health and social empowerment, and family livelihood.  This program provides assistance in areas that make an immediate as well as long-term impact to reverse the cycle of poverty while promoting self-sufficiency and community participation.  The Partnership programs include:        

*  Girls' Empowerment...advancing girl's education and AIDS prevention 

*  High School Scholarships...inspiring high-achieving needy youth 

*  Give a Goat...motivating self-sufficiency for orphaned and impoverished families.

SOUTH AMERICAN MISSION TRIP

Annual mission to Montevideo, Uruguay in April to help refurbish a Methodist church which provides multiple services for the local poor community.  The trip will end with sightseeing in Buenos Aires.  For more information, contact Wayne Foster at 817-310-0097 or waynefoster@verizon.net.
