Nuture Ministry
Hospital and Home Visitations
This ministry encompasses both hospital and home visitations for those in need. People who are healing from an injury or illness are often in special need of someone to talk and visit with.
Correspondence
This ministry is responsible for sending notes and cards to church members to share their joys and concerns.
Meals
Volunteers provide meals for those in need due to illness, surgery or other crisis situations. Each volunteer provides 2-3 meals per year.
Telecare
This team provides extended care by telephone. Sometimes, just a reminder that they are cared for by their church family will lift someone's spirit. Training is available to develop techniques for providing care by telephone.
Bereavement Care Ministry
The Bereavement Ministry provides food and service to members holding a memorial or funeral service. A receptioin or meal is offered.
Volunteers prepare and purchase food, arrange and set-up tables, chairs, flowers, etc . . to present a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for family and friends of the deceased.
Ushers and care cards are provided for services at White's Chapel. Another area of the Bereavement Care Ministry sends cards and letters to those grieving the loss of loved ones.
Confronting Grief
Confronting Grief is an 8-week series led by Rev. Betsy Godbold. The group examines and explores healthy ways to respond to grief, always remembering that we never grieve alone.
