Career Transition Workshop
The Career Transition Workshop (CTW) is an inspirational, professionally produced series of 12 workshops intended to help the job seeker focus on important tasks during a job search. The program was established in North Dallas in 1992, by John McDorman, a Human Resources Professional and has helped over 15,000 people enhance their career or find new jobs. In February 2006, Whites Chapel United Methodist Church began sponsorship of the CTW in North Tarrant County. Each of the 12 workshop sessions is FREE to the job seeker and uses a creative and entertaining series of topics to motivate and educate. All who seek to advance their career are encouraged to attend. CTW is staffed by volunteer mentors who have experience in the job search market to mentor participants, edit resumes and offer advice on how to market themselves to local companies.
The Career Transition Workshop offers job seekers the essential tools to prepare a resume, create a personal marketing plan, research companies and refine your professional image to get a new job. The program is free and uses inspirational presentations each week to present a new topic. Join us in the Adult Education Wing, Room 3204 every Monday at 6:30pm. Contact Bob Wyatt at 817-703-8273 for more information.

From a CTW attendee in the Summer session, Linda Ruestow:
“CTW helped me find a job that is not only suitable, it is better than what I thought I wanted. One of the most significant things I got out of the workshop was how important it is to have faith. I also appreciated the opportunity to share with other folks going through similar experiences and hear from people with experience on the other side of the job search, those who work in Human Resources and do the hiring.”-- Linda Ruestow
